What Cannot be carried on Qatar Airways?

When a traveler chooses to use Qatar Airways cheap flights, he or she must adhere to all of the airline's laws and regulations. Be it in terms of where you can and can't go, what you can and can't bring with you, or any combination of the three!


Qatar Airlines allows a large amount of checked baggage, however, it must be secure at all times. That is to say, for safety and security reasons, there is a list of items that you cannot bring on board your Qatar Airlines aircraft. Some products fall under the category of dangerous goods, and depending on the airline, you may not be able to bring them on board at all, or you may need to get special permission.


International Civil Aviation Authority regulations prohibit the transport of hazardous materials in either checked or hand luggage due to the potential harm they represent to passengers' health and safety.


Items that can't be brought on board the plane.


1. Instruments for firing projectiles.


Guns, firearms, and other devices that cause bodily harm by firing projectiles fall into this category. For instance;

Starter guns and signal flare pistols.

Weapons of any kind, such as handguns, rifles, shotguns, revolvers, etc.

Catapults and slingshots.

Firearms-style replicas and/or toy guns.

Any type of firearms component or assembly.

The use of bows, arrows, crossbows, etc.

Gas cannons, such as compressed air and carbon monoxide weapons. Guns that shoot pellets, balls, or rifles, for instance.


2. Stun-inducing gadgets.


Tools for producing a frightening or stunning effect.

A stun weapon, such as a taser, baton, etc.

Weapons that can both stun and kill animals.

Substances that can disable or incapacitate, such as chemicals or gases. Say, for Illustration;

o Mace.

Capsaicin spray or pepper spray.

Gas grenades/tear gas.

Acidic mists.

o Sprays that deter animals.


3. Things that have jagged or pointed edges.


Something with a sharp edge that could cut or stab someone.

Safety razors.

Shears and/or bladed knives longer than 6 centimeters.

Slicing and dicing. Say, for Illustration;

o Axes.

o Hatchets.

o Cleavers.

Ice axes and ice picks alike.

Worker equipment.

Box cutters.


Equipment used in martial arts. Say, for Illustration;

o Swords.

o Sabers.


Items that cannot be included in checked luggage.

1. Cars run on lithium-ion batteries.

Even if the batteries are removed, lithium-powered vehicles cannot be transported as checked luggage. Some of these are:


E-scooters.

The wheels are made of air.

Wheels by oneself.

 Hover-boards.

 Mini-Segways.

 Balance-wheels.


2. Things that rust.


There are various varieties of these, such as.

 Acids.

Batteries with a wet cell.

 Mercury.

 Alkalis.

 Viruses.

 Insecticides.

 Bacteria.

 Weedkillers.

Radioactive materials.


3. Combustible materials.


Any combustible liquids, solids, and gases are included. Say, for Illustration;

 Paints.

 Fuels.

 Matches.


4. Pressurized air or gas.


 Oxygen.

 Propane.

 Butane.

Authorized, but with stipulations.


All liquids, aerosols, and gels must be individually packaged in resealable bags with a maximum capacity of 100 ml.

Little quantity of medical and hygiene supplies (0.5 kg or 0.5l each).

Ammunition for sports (up to 5kg).

Disassemble and securely pack your firearms.

Sports goods.
